Ton van Vliet elected as Fellow of the IAFoST

The International Academy of Food Science and Technology (IAFoST) has elected WCFS project leader Ton van Vliet as one of their members.

Ton van Vliet is the first person from the Netherlands who is elected as Fellow of the IAFoST.

IAFoST was created in 1997 by the International Union of Food Science and Technology to honour those individuals in all countries who are generally recognized as having established an outstanding international reputation for scientific accomplishments and/or leadership in the area of food science and technology. The academy is composed of elected members (Fellows) from all parts over the world. The numbers of persons that can be elected is limited to a maximum of 15 per year, who at the time of election must be professionally active.
